Aarm Dental Group Yaletown
I’ve been to Aarm twice now and have very great experiences both times. My doctor is very gentle and friendly and they have the best equipment to show you what’s going on inside your mouth. The coolest thing is this machine that takes photos of your teeth and then highlights the work that needs to be done. I thought the dental hygenists were really great, I scored free floss, toothpaste and toothbrushes.  It was spiffy.

I hadn’t been to the dentist for a very long time because teeth cleaning to me feels like someone jamming popcorn kernels in between all of my teeth and up my gums at the same time as listening to someone scrape a shovel on a bare sidewalk over and over again.

I do have a dental plan and I realize how stupid it is to not take advantage of it so finally with the help of a mild barbituate, I hobbled into the office this morning (which I found from reviews on Yelp).

The office is very very clean and modern but not over the top.  There is a computer in the waiting area if you’d like to surf the net and it’s right on the marina there.  Parking (even meter parking) is comped by the office.

The hygenist was very nice and she took a couple of xrays and cleaned my teeth (which despite recent advancements in cleaning tools was still like nails on a chalkboard).  My teeth look fantastic now – a very noticeable difference.

The dentist was so friendly; he didn’t even introduce himself as “Doctor” but by his first name which I thought was very personable.

Finally, the front desk assistant Maria was extremely knowledgable about how my medical plan works, what it covers, and how often I can come back without having to pay out of pocket.

All in all an extremely positive experience – I will definitely go back in the future.

I recently received dental coverage again and had to deal with a cracked tooth. I was really wary of dental work as it had been too long since I had been.

After searching online for dentists downtown, I came across Aarm Dental Group. A few coworkers of mine go to their Yaletown location so I thought I’d check it out! I was unable to book an appointment with the Yaletown location as it was closed for renovations so I made an appointment with the Hornby (at Drake) location. I told the receptionist that I had a cracked tooth and they fit me in right away.

Their location is very easy to get to and is ground level. When I first arrived, the very friendly staff welcomed me while I sat in their stylish waiting area. My appointment was on time and very efficient! As I had no preference on my dentist, I was scheduled with Dr. D’Alfonso. She was fantastic! She kept me calm and involved while she discussed options. A very friendly dentist that won’t give you guilt trips or lectures. She assesses, discusses, then treats. All with a smile!

Unfortunately, I did need to have a root canal for my cracked tooth but the procedure was very quick. I sat back and watched a movie while they went to work. My whole appointment for the canal was two hours. That included freezing time, midway x-rays, and the entire procedure. I’m waiting for my provider to approve the crown I need to receive but Aarm Dental submitted everything for me!

I’d recommend them to anyone needing a new dentist.
