Dr. Michael Numerow graduated from the University of Manitoba Faculty of Dentistry in 1993. He began a fulfilling career in Dauphin, Manitoba located in central Manitoba. After 3 years, he moved to Winnipeg where over the past 12 years he owned and operated two dental practices. After many years of consideration, he finally made the move to Vancouver in the fall of 2007 and loved it!! When not working, he can be found biking, hiking, rock climbing, or just taking in the beauty of the west coast.

Dr. Jung (or “Dr. Lina” to the kids) graduated with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery, Honors, from the University of Toronto in 1997, after a degree in Microbiology from UBC, and was awarded top prizes in Oral Medicine and Orthodontics. She then completed the UBC General Practice Residency Program, with advanced training for medically complex patients at VGH, BC Children’s Hospital, and the BC Cancer Agency. In addition to AARM BC Place, she has a successful practice in the Okanagan with her husband where she is also the General Consultant for the Department of Oral Oncology/Dentistry at The Cancer Center for the Southern Interior. She has been actively involved with oral cancer research and has actively taught the medical community. She provides a wide spectrum of general services, with a special interest in comprehensive care, TMD, Craniofacial Pain, Oral Medicine, Dental Sleep Medicine, and Orthopaedic Orthodontics.
Dr. Jung currently sits on the licencing body BCCOHP Discipline Committee and for many years past involved with BCDA. She is a Fellow of the American College of Dentistry and teaches case-based learning in Ethics at UBC. She was recently elected as the BCCOHP Board Director in the Dentist/ Dental Therapist seat and starts her three-year term in April 2024.

Born in India and brought up in Toronto, Dr Dason completed her undergraduate studies in Lacombe, Alberta, before earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at McGill University in Montreal. To further refine her skills, she pursued an Advanced Education in General Dentistry in Washington State via NYU Langone. Dr. Dason is passionate about providing personalised, high-quality and compassionate dental care. She prioritises prevention of oral diseases and preservation of healthy dentition while educating patients about the connections between oral health and overall systemic health. Empowering patients through education is the cornerstone to ensure they feel informed and involved in their treatment plans. Dr. Blair Broaderip graduated from McGill University Facility of Dentistry in 1976. He relocated to British Columbia and has practised dentistry for forty nine years in Vancouver. Dr. Broaderip has been a member of many study clubs involving periodontic, endodontic, cosmetic and implant treatment. He served on the Third Party Committees of the British Columbia College of Dental Surgeons and was employed as team team dentist for the Vernon Vipers and Westside Warriors of the BC Junior Hockey League. In his spare time Dr. Broaderip enjoys many activities including hiking cycling, golf, pickelball and wake surfing. Dr Broaderip has worked at a several Aarm clinics in Vancouver and will focus his energy and enthusiasm at 1000 Beach Avenue. He shares practise philosophies with the group of Aarm dentists in efforts to provide safe ethnical compassionate dental treatment based on scientific based evidence and technology.

Dr. Efat Farrokhshad graduated from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences with a doctor of dental surgery. She is a Certified Member of the National Dental Examining Board of Canada. She had been working in her own dental clinic in Tehran and she has over 15 years of successful clinical experience in all aspects of general dentistry. She worked in a high-circumstances clinic in Vancouver in a wide spectrum of dental care including veneers(cosmetic), root canal therapy, crown and bridge, denture, surgical extractions, and pediatric dentistry.
She also always provides a stress-free environment for all patients.

Meet Dr. Roya Naseh—a dentist with an extraordinary journey. Growing up in a family of educated doctors, she embraced her passion and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in Iran back in 1997. What’s truly impressive is that she not only graduated at the top of her class but also managed to raise her one-year-old daughter simultaneously.
After spending a couple of years working as a general dentist, Dr. Roya felt a strong inner pull to pursue further specialization. In 1999, she made her way back to Mashhad University, embarking on an intensive three-year orthodontic residency that she successfully completed in 2002. Impressively, she once again secured the top position in the Iranian National Dental Board Exam.
For a remarkable 15 years, Dr. Roya shared her knowledge as a university professor at Qazvin University of Medical Sciences. There, she nurtured the minds of budding orthodontists, teaching them the ropes of her craft. But that’s not all—she donned various hats, serving as Dean Associate in Education, Orthodontic Department Head, and Research Centre Head. No wonder she’s got a collection of papers published in both local and international journals.
In 2018, she took a leap by undertaking a one-year orthodontic gap-training course at the University of Alberta. To top it all off, she aced the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC) exam in 2019, officially becoming a Certified Specialist in Orthodontics.
Even beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Roya is a mom to three wonderful children. When she’s not crafting beautiful smiles, she’s out exploring new places and soaking up precious moments with her family.

Dr. Hsu was born in Taiwan and immigrated to Canada with his family when he was 8 years old. He grew up in Langley, B.C., and later moved to Vancouver to complete his degree in Biochemistry and Dentistry at the University of British Columbia.
Dr. Hsu enjoys all aspects of dentistry, but most of all, he enjoys the people. He strives to practice patient-centered dentistry, where patient comfort and effective communication are of the priority. He also enrolls himself in study clubs to ensure he can provide every patient with the best possible care. In his spare time, Dr.Hsu loves a good match of tennis. Dr. Hedy Akhlaghi graduated from the University of Manitoba Faculty of Dentistry with a DMD degree in 2010. Before joining the Aarm family in Jan 2018 she worked at Elgin Dental Group in Port Coquitlam for 6 years while also working part-time at UBC with Geriatrics Dental Group. She has also worked in a dental clinic in Mission for 3 years. Her focus is on the alignment of the teeth using Invisalign and then restoring them minimally. She is an active member of the Western Restorative Study Club and the American Academy of Clear Aligners Study Club which are two of the most prestigious dental professional groups in North America.
She has a passion for giving back to the community and has contributed many hours treating disadvantaged residents of Vancouver at the Eastside Dental Clinic as a volunteer dentist.
When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 kids. Her mother is also a dentist and she had the privilege of spending time at her practice and observing her work since very young and it started her interest in dentistry. She loves nature and does yoga in her spare time.

Dr. Fong earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of British Columbia in 1993. With over three decades of experience, she has built a strong foundation in general dentistry, with particular interest in periodontics and cosmetic dentistry. She has further refined her skills through participation in two Crown and Bridge Study Clubs and as a past member of the Vancouver Perio-Prosth Study Club.
Deeply committed to giving back, Dr. Fong has volunteered her dental expertise in underserved communities, including outreach missions to Costa Rica and, more recently, Guatemala. Closer to home, she has shared her knowledge by speaking to preschool and elementary school students about oral health, fostering early awareness and prevention.
Beginning in the fall of 2025, Dr. Fong will be joining the UBC Dental School as a part-time clinical instructor, where she looks forward to mentoring the next generation of dental professionals.

Dr. D’Alfonso graduated from the UBC School of Dentistry in 1997 and did her undergrad in Pharmacy. She has been involved in numerous study clubs, most enduringly the City Core Endodontic Study Club where she is mastering difficult root canals. Her practice at the Hornby location has evolved over the past nine years and presently she is performing many esthetic procedures along with general Dentistry. Dr. Bains received his Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc.) from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He then went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (D.M.D.) at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.
Possessing a passion for lifelong learning and community involvement, Dr Bains was involved in externships, internships, coaching, and community outreach clinics while at university.
At UBC, he was selected to participate in an oral surgery elective to expand his knowledge and skills. To further that training, Dr. Bains completed hands-on oral surgery externships at Harvard University – Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, and at the University of the Pacific – Highland Hospital in Oakland.
To provide his patients with comprehensive dental care, utilizing the latest of evidence-based technology, Dr Bains continues his lifelong learning through various post-graduate education programs to further his knowledge and skills in: cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign/orthodontics, extractions, restorative dentistry, root canals, crowns, and bridges.

Dr. Lawrence Lai obtained his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Microbiology and Immunology at McGill University in 1995. His interest in interacting with people at a more personal level has driven him to pursue a dental career in health care. In 1997, he entered the Faculty of Dentistry at McGill University.
In 2001, as a dentist, he moved to Calgary to start his general practice in dentistry. Currently, Dr Lai is licensed to practice dentistry under the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia and Alberta Dental Association and College. He is also a member of the BC Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association. Dr. Lai continues to update his dental training by regularly attending national and international dental conferences and continuing education dental courses annually. As an accomplished Calgary dentist, he has completed more than 1000 continuing education hours since his graduation from dental school. When not working, he may be seen spending time with his wife and a young son biking in Stanley Park or in Whistler hiking or skiing.

In school, she was chosen to be a part of the Anesthesiology Team, Emergency Medical Team, CPR Instructor, and tutor. Dr. Lee is currently a clinical instructor for CDI College in Burnaby as well as teaching part-time for the Faculty of Dentistry at UBC. She is involved in numerous study clubs that include implants, esthetics, and periodontics. Dr. Lee enjoys all aspects of dentistry. She enjoys spending time with her patients and offers IV Sedation for her highly anxious patients. Aside from English, Dr. Seiko Lee speaks Japanese and conversational Spanish.
