Doctor Spotlight: Dr. Paknoosh Kazemi of Aarm Dental Group on Seymour
Dr. Kazemi graduated from the Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences with a doctoral degree in dental medicine. He is a Certified member of National Dental Examining Board of Canada. He completed practical and academic courses of orthodontic dentistry based on MBT system at the University of Tehran. He is trained on in using laser devices as well as Oral implant based on Medical Titanium Implant System at the University of Geneva/Switzerland. Dr. Kazemi was a Dental associate in the Northern Alberta for two years before He decided to relocate to Vancouver. Dr. Kazemi loves music, art and dedicates his spare time to activities, such as photography, hiking, biking, and swimming.
Dr. Kazemi, you’ve had an extensive career in practicing dentistry. Going back to the beginning, what inspired you originally to become a dentist?
“Dentistry was like art and science for me”
You’re practice and skill set includes general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, and restorative dentistry. What’s your favourite part of your practice?
“Orthodontic, surgery, veneers, and Esthetic”
Dr. Kazemi, speaking both Farsi and English, what does it mean to you to be able to provide health care in multiple languages? What is the role of language in terms of accessible dental care?
“Very important, as many people in Canada have language barriers.”
What’s something all patients should do in terms of addressing their dental care?
“Have a regular recall appointment”

Outside of dentistry, what inspires you?
“I believe that a balance between work and your personal life to be very important. Outside of work, I love spending my spare time in nature.”
Dr. Kazemi, your practice is within the heart of Downtown Vancouver. How would you describe Vancouver and its community?
“Working downtown Vancouver, we are in a neighbourhood, living in close proximity with each other so for me it’s a sense of community and continued learning. This neighbourhood and community is both loyal and empathetic which is very special to this practice ”

“Stanley Park”
